A method for selectively notifying a changed number information during life time by using a text message and a system thereof are provided to register information about the changed number in a changed number DB and notify a caller of the changed number only when the caller wants to receive a changed number service while paying predetermined expenses, thereby removing a waste of changed number service cost to secure the lifelong service of the changed number. A method for providing a changed number selectively during life by using a text message comprises the following steps of: allowing a subscriber, who wants to receive a changed number service, to register the changed number in a changed number DB(Database)(P100); checking the changed number information registered in the DB when making a call with a previous number(P300); and checking whether a caller wants to receive the changed number while paying predetermined expenses(P400).
