ORIENTAL MEDICINE PLANT EXTRACT HAVING WHITENING EFFECT, MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF AND COSMETICS COMPRISING THE ORIENTAL MEDICINE PLANT EXTRACT

An oriental medicine plant extract is provided to show excellent harmful oxygen scavenging capability and melanogenesis inhibitory effect, thereby being used for a cosmetic composition with excellent antioxidation and skin whitening effect. An oriental medicine plant extract is characterized in that it is prepared by: (a) mixing 10-30 parts by weight of Angelicae dahuricae Radix, 10-30 parts by weight of Atractylodis macrocephalae Rhizoma, 2-10 parts by weight of poria cocos wolf, 2-10 parts by weight of Bletilla striata Reichb. fil. and 2-10 parts by weight of Asarum sieboldii to prepare an oriental medicine mixture; and (b) heating the mixture with a solvent selected from the group consisting of water, ethanol, methanol, butanol, hexane, ethylacetate, butylene glycol, propylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, glycerine and a mixture thereof at a temperature of 50-100 deg.C for 1-20 hour(s) or precipitating the mixture in a solvent selected from the group consisting of water, ethanol, methanol, butanol, hexane, ethylacetate, butylene glycol, propylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, glycerin and a mixture thereof at a temperature of 5-40 deg.C for 1-15 day(s). A cosmetic composition comprises 0.001-30 wt.% of the oriental medicine extract and the remaining amount of a cosmetic base.
