An advanced water purification system for passing raw water through inline blender mixing equipment, a submersed membrane filtration tank, a granular activated carbon filter, and a disinfection tank is provided to improve filtration efficiency, reduce installation area, and reduce consumption of a flocculant as compared with a conventional submersed membrane filter, and an advanced water purification method using the same is provided. In a method for advanced water purification of raw water, the advanced water purification method comprises the steps of: (a) mixing raw water(1) flown in from a raw water storage tank with chemicals in inline blender mixing equipment(3) installed in two stages by connecting nonpower divided mixer equipment and power diffusion type mixing equipment including a pump, an impinging plate and a spray nozzle, or in the power diffusion type mixing equipment including the pump, the impinging plate and the spray nozzle; (b) filtering, in a submersed membrane filtrating tank(4), advanced flocculated solid materials, pathogenic bacteria, and virus contained in raw water that has been flown in after performing the step(a); (c) filtering, in a granular activated carbon filter(5), taste, odor causing materials, and a trace of organic compounds contained in raw water that has been flown in after performing the step(b); and (d) disinfecting, in a disinfection tank(6), raw water that has been flown in after performing the step(c) to supply stably raw water as drinking water. Further, a step of growing a size of particles of the floc in an agglutination tank is additionally comprised in the advanced water purification method.
