System and Method for Receiving TV-Anytime Metadata through Digital Broadcasting Channel in ATSC

A system and a method for receiving TVA(TV-Anytime) metadata are provided to make it possible to offer a personal type data broadcasting service to a user in an ATSC(Advanced Television System Committee) by using the TVA metadata. An RAR(Resolving Authority Record) information search and analysis unit(140) receives a transport stream through a broadcasting channel in an ATSC environment, and searches for RAR information from the received transport stream. The RAR information search and analysis unit(140) analyzes the searched RAR information to grasp transport stream identification, program number, and component tag of positioning information, or previously grasp schedule or update of the positioning information. A positioning information search and analysis unit(150) searches for the positioning information based on the analyzed result, and analyzes the searched positioning information. A TVA metadata signaling information search and analysis unit(160) grasps state information of the TVA metadata. A TVA metadata search and analysis unit(170) searches for the state information of the TVA metadata, and analyzes the searched TVA metadata.
