COMPOSITIONS FOR TREATING A METAL SURFACE HAVING EXCELLENT ANTIBACTERIA, WORKABILITY AND CORROSION RESISTANCE AND SURFACE TREATED STEEL SHEETS THEREWITH

A metal surface treatment composition and a steel sheet of which a surface is treated using the same are provided, wherein the metal surface treatment composition can obtain a Cr-free steel sheet having excellent antibacterial properties, workability and corrosion resistance and can secure corrosion resistance of the steel sheet before painting the steel sheet. A composition for treating a metal surface comprises (a) 100 weight parts of a water-soluble organic resin-inorganic binder composite resin, (b) 0.5 to 10 weight parts of a hardener, (c) 5 to 23 weight parts of a metal chelate agent, (d) 1 to 10 weight parts of an adhesion enhancer, (e) 1 to 8 weight parts of a rust-proofing corrosion inhibitor, and (f) 0.00001 to 0.0005 weight part of silver with a particle size of not more than 10 nm. The water-soluble organic resin-inorganic binder composite resin is obtained by a reaction of an organic resin, an inorganic binder, and a coupling agent. The organic resin and the inorganic binder are mixed at a weight ratio of 20:80 to 80:20.
