METHOD OF PROVIDING REAL TIME BUS INFORMATION SERVICE USING DATA BROADCASTING NETWORK

A method for providing bus service information in real-time by using a data broadcasting network is provided to realize real-time information transfer with a remarkably reduced data quantity of the real-time bus service information by storing bus stop and line information in a data broadcasting terminal, and condensing/transmitting a bus stop ID, bus stop order information, section information to the data broadcasting terminal. A data broadcasting terminal stores bus stop information including bus stop names/IDs, and a bus line forming bus stop list including the number of bus stops and a bus stop ID list of each bus line(S10). A traffic control center periodically generates real-time bus service information including the bus stop ID close to buses included in each line based on location information of the buses(S20). A data broadcasting station broadcasts the real-time bus service information through a data broadcasting network(S30). The data broadcasting terminal provides the real-time bus service information based on the bus stop name by receiving the real-time bus service information from the data broadcasting station, and referring to the bus stop information and the bus line forming bus stop list(S40).
