true GPS time and to determine the time delay between the arrival of a CDMA signal, GPS receivers are a true GPS generating a first reference signal that is locked to the time, and applies the signal to the CDMA base station test equipment. CDMA base station test equipment receives the CDMA signal, and generates a second reference signal having a transition which occurs substantially concurrently with transitions of an internal synchronization clock used to sample the first reference signal. The CDMA base station test equipment provides the delay between the second reference signal and the CDMA signal. Frequency / time counter provides a delay between the first reference signal and the second reference signal.
