BIDIRECTIONAL BUS INFORMATION SYSTEM USING MOBILE RFID TECHNIQUES AND METHOD FOR OPERATING THEREOF

A bidirectional bus information system using mobile RFID technology and an operating method thereof are provided to enable a user to receive bus information corresponding to an identification code through a portable terminal by using the identification code of a bus guide device installed in each bus stop, thereby improving convenience of the user using a bus. A bidirectional bus information system comprises a portable terminal(110), a bus guide device(120), a bus(130), an EBIS(Enhanced Bus Information System) center(140) and an MRS(Mobile Radio Frequency Identification system) center(150). The bus guide device is installed in each bus stop and provides an identification code corresponding to a bus stop. The bus guide device comprises an RFID tag, an RFID reader and a communication module. The MRS center searches a URL(Universal Resource Location) address corresponding to bus information. The EBIS center provides bus information according to the search result. In the EBIS center, an OIS(Object Information Service) server(141) provides a bus information list to the portable terminal, and searches and provides selected one bus information. A first database(142) stores and manages all bus information within the bus information list.
