Functional Antimicrobial PE master batch (MASTER BATCH)

A functional antibacterial polyester(PE) master batch is provided to impart anion- and far infrared ray-emitting effects and antibacterial activity to a paper container for foods, thereby preventing degeneration of foods and maintaining freshness of foods when the PE master batch is coated on the surface of paper. A functional antibacterial polyester(PE) master batch is obtained by the method comprising the steps of: removing harmful heavy metals from tourmaline ore and supporting the tourmaline on silica to form pores, to reduce the specific gravity and to increase the volume, thereby providing silica-tourmaline(4) having anion- and far infrared ray-emitting effects, or coating silica with antibacterial silver to increase the surface area of silver, thereby providing antibacterial silica-nanosilver(6); and blending at least one of the silica-tourmaline and silica-nanosilver with PE(7) used as a paper coating material to provide a functional antibacterial PE master batch(8) having anion- and far infrared ray-emitting effects and antibacterial activity.
