A cutting insert capable of turning and milling processes is provided to reduce cutting resistance and improve quality of workpieces by applying sub folds and inclined main folds. A cutting insert capable of turning and milling processes comprises an upper surface(10) and a lower surface(20), plural side surfaces(30) connecting the upper surface with the lower surface, and an edge surface(40) smoothly connecting the adjacent side surfaces. Each side surface has a main side surface part(110) recessed inward to have a conventional vane type from a certain view of the planar or lower surfaces. The main side surface part having at least one curved main fold(112) is curved toward the inside of the side surfaces from the edge surface adjacent to two ends of the side surfaces. Additionally, a sub side surface part(120), which is formed at the main side surface part, includes sub folds(122) contacted with the main side surface part and an edge fold(130) between the main folds. Further, a semidiameter of a curvature of the main side surface part is 20-100mm, and a maximum concave depth of the main side surface part is 0.2-1.5mm.
