Silicone Light-Diffusing Agent with Bimodal Size Distribution, Method for Preparing the Same, and Light-Diffusing Plate Using the Same

A silicon group light-diffusing agent having a bimodal size distribution, a manufacturing method thereof, and a light-diffusing plate using the light-diffusing agent are provided to improve the brightness of the light-diffusing plate by using polyorganosilsesquioxane particles. Two polyorganosilsesquioxane microparticles having different diameters are mixed with each other to form a bimodal size distribution in a silicon group light-diffusing agent. The polyorganosilsesquioxane contains a repetition unit expressed by RSiO1.5-x(OH)x, where R is an alkyl, vinyl, or aryl group with a carbon number between one and six, and X lies between zero and 1.5. One of the polyorganosilsesquioxane microparticle has a diameter between 2 and 3.5 micrometer, while the other of the polyorganosilsesquioxane microparticle has a diameter between 4 and 6 micrometer.
