PURPOSE: An apparatus for processing the digital signal in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing receiver by using an antenna diversity and a method for the same are provided to prevent the communication interruption by giving an effect that the signal passing through a real wireless channel represents the effect of passing the channel with the coherence bandwidth being narrower than that of the real wireless channel. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for processing the digital signal in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) receiver by using an antenna diversity includes a circulation delaying block(30), a channel estimating block(40), a symbol detecting block(50) and an error compensating block(60). The circulation delaying block(30) synthesizes the symbols of the OFDM signals receives through the antenna diversity. The channel estimating block(40) estimates the wireless channels for each path through the symbols of the OFDM signals receives through the antenna diversity. The symbol detecting block(50) detects each bit of the reception signals by removing the wireless channel characteristics of the signal synthesized at the channel estimating block(40). And, the error compensating block(60) recovers the reception data streams by correcting the error of each bit detected at the symbol detecting block(50).
