Sleeping mat System for sensing sleeping status and Method performing in the same

A mat system connected with a home network server is provided to sense the sleeping state of a user by comprising a plurality of pressure sensors, thereby offering the user the optimum environment for sleeping. A mat system comprises the followings: pressure sensors(110) which are regularly arranged in a sleeping mat; a gateway unit(100) which collects sensing data from the pressure sensors and grasps pressure distribution applied to the mat in order to analyze the sleeping state of a sleeping user; and a home network server(130) which receives a control message delivered from the gateway unit and controls units related to the sleep environment.
