FIELD: aircraft manufacture industry branch, possibly working large-size complex-profile ceramic articles such as nose dielectric cones of flying vehicles.;SUBSTANCE: drum for internal working and mandrel for outer working of article are mounted in lathe. Article is mounted with use of fixing members. Drum and mandrel are provided with rubber tube arranged along surface of article between two fixing members. It provides elimination of flaws in material of article due to lowered deformation of its wall and redistribution of pressure from grinding head on the whole its surface.;EFFECT: simplified mechanical working of high quality, reduced noise level in industrial rooms.;2 dwg
