FIELD: radiochemical industry, cesium isotope based gamma-ray sources.;SUBSTANCE: method is proposed for synthesizing ceramic matrix of CsMgPO₄ composition from aqueous or acid solutions using process scheme ruling out loss of radioactive material. Mixture of solutions is concentrated by evaporation and solid residue is subjected to step-by-step heat treatment at temperatures of 500 to 550 °C and 600 to 700 °C.;EFFECT: enhanced chemical and radiation stability of cesium-magnesium orthophosphate matrix.;1 cl
