FIELD: hoisting equipment, particularly lifts.;SUBSTANCE: lift comprises counterweight and cage suspended by means of hoisting ropes. Lift comprises one or several rope pulleys provided with rope grooves. One rope pulley, namely driving one, is operated by winch and activates hoisting rope system. At least one rope pulley has side facing hoisting rope covered with material adhered thereto. The covering defines rope grooves. Covering material has elasticity at groove edges exceeding that in groove bottom. In preferred embodiment rope-driving pulley is made as above described rope pulley. Covering is located in main groove having rounded bottom and created in rope pulley. Covering has maximal thickness in rope groove bottom. Covering thickness decreased towards groove edges.;EFFECT: decreased rope wear and improved engagement between rope and pulley.;12 cl, 5 dwg
