FIELD: processes and apparatuses for controlling positions of rolling rolls in mill having three-roll stands for rolling seamless tubes on mandrel.;SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of measuring thickness of wall of rolled material in position corresponding to portion of lower part of roll grooved pass of each rolling roll; calculating fluctuation between each measured thickness value of wall and preset wall thickness determined by rolling mode; regulating position at rolling each working roll on base of each calculated fluctuation value; measuring wall thickness of rolled material in both positions corresponding to portions extending to both sides of flange portion from portions of lower part of roll grooved pass of rolling rolls. Position at rolling each rolling roll is regulated on base of fluctuation of between both measured values. Apparatus for performing the method includes unit for measuring thickness of walls having large number of irradiation sources and large number of detectors turned to irradiation sources through rolled material and rolling process control unit. Unit for measuring wall thickness is designed for measuring thickness of walls of rolled material in position corresponding to portion of lower part of roll grooved pass of each rolling roll. Rolling process control unit is designed for calculating fluctuation between each measured wall thickness value and preset value of wall thickness in order to control each device for driving rolling roll on base of each calculated fluctuation.;EFFECT: possibility for regulating position of rolling rolls and for providing high-accuracy dimensions of thickness values of walls of rolled tubes.;6 cl, 10 dwg, 2 tbl, 4 ex
