FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: method involves determining tissue volume containing tumor, to be excised with tumor thickness and base boundary according to ESMO 2004. Ultrasonic digital spatial scanning is carried out in combination with energetic and color Doppler melanoma mapping. Tumor thickness is determined before resection as sum of its projection values above skin plane and invasion deepness into surrounding tissues. Tumor base boundary is traced in underlying tissues including lymphatic canals containing tumor embolus.;EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment and appropriate treatment method selection.;1 dwg
