FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, in particular, process for blast-furnace melting of zinc-containing burden.;SUBSTANCE: method involves removing zinc from furnace working space by forming buffer layer having predetermined height through charging of coke and crushed slag and periodically lowering burden charge level; forming buffer layer from individual coke layer and crushed slag layer of fractions, respectively, (25-150):(40-150) mm, with weight ratio of components, respectively, (20-60):(150-300) kg/m3 of blast furnace; elevating temperature of blast furnace gas to 420-750 C, said process being carried out in 25-35 days; feeding blast-furnace gas cleaner sledges into separate sledge collector and providing natural settling of sledge during at least 3 days; pumping pulp of settled sledge; dehydrating and unloading dried sledge for zinc production.;EFFECT: reduced periodicity in repairing of blast furnace, reduced consumption of coke, and increased efficiency of blast furnace.
