摘要
FIELD: metallurgy; heat treatment.;SUBSTANCE: said utility invention relates to the heat treatment and mechanical processing of workpieces made of bi-phase titanium alloys with alpha-beta-structure, such as cast ingots, in order to obtain products with increased suitability for the ultrasonic inspection. The processed workpiece, preferably in the form of a cast ingot, is subjected to machining in the beta phase region and the alpha-beta phase region with subsequent quenching from the beta phase region. The workpiece is subjected to machining at the first temperature of the alpha-beta phase region and quenched from the first temperature of the alpha-beta phase region. After that, the workpiece is subjected to machining in the alpha-beta phase region, at the second temperature of the alpha-beta phase, the second temperature of the alpha-beta phase region being lower than the first temperature of the alpha-beta phase region, and, preferably, is quenched from the second temperature of the alpha-beta phase region. The obtained microstructure is a distribution of globular coarse particles (30) of the alpha phase and globular fine particles (36) of the alpha phase in fine grains (38) of the transformed beta phase. The invention allows to obtain the required microstructure in the processed workpiece while decreasing the incidence of microstructure features influencing negatively on the suitability for the ultrasonic inspection.;EFFECT: obtaining titanium alloy workpiece with high suitability for ultrasonic inspection.;23 cl, 10 dwg
