METHOD OF MONITORING GAS EMISSION DURING MINING OPERATIONS IN SERIES OF HIGHLY GASEOUS COAL SEAMS

FIELD: mining.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the mining industry and can be used for fighting against explosive gas during performance of mining operations in series of superimposed highly gaseous seams. The method includes mining in coal seams by long columns, formation of a gas collector from the network of drainage galleries, formation of a conduit for draining gas out of the seams into the gas collector by drilling wells from drainage galleries into virgin coal and release of gas out of the gas collector from the surface into the wells equipped with gas suction installations. During this process first of all dislocation of the fracturing zone formed in virgin coal during seam extraction in series is determined. In this case drainage galleries are mined in the offgrade seam that lies above the series of coal seams in the fracturing zone with formation of the drainage stratum before the beginning of extraction of the first seam intended for mining at first instance and which features minimal gas content. As the drainage stratum of the well is prepared boreholes for drainage of gas out of the seams are drilled from drainage galleries to the soil of the bottom formation in the series with subsequent force impact through these boreholes onto the coal seam e.g. by camouflet blasting and wells are drilled from the surface to a depth of the drainage stratum and beyond the same with subsequent connection of each well with the outer drainage gallery by providing an additional working between them. After preparation of the drainage stratum for release of gas into it and prior to beginning of excavation of seams gas is released out of pre-formed network of fractures in virgin coal, which after formation of drainage courses escapes out of them into the workings of the drainage stratum and released out of them due to drawdown developed by gas suction installations. During excavation of the first coal seam gas under the influence of stoping in the said seam escapes from the mined out space in this seam through the fractures in the fracturing zone into the workings of the drainage stratum, with subsequent removal of gas from them to the wells from the surface the drawdown state in the "drainage stratum - wells from the surface" being maintain higher than that generated in the stoping face of the seam mined. Further due to propagation of fractures during excavation of other coal seams in the series gas is still released out of workings of the drainage stratum, into which it ingresses continuously out of newly formed fractures in the coal massif in the process of excavation of each seam and from mined out spaces of these seams.;EFFECT: increased efficiency of monitoring gas emission and safety of stoping by the gas factor.;3 cl, 7 dwg
