FIELD: physics.;SUBSTANCE: jams induced by airborne pulse transmitting transponder of target self-protection using paired closely spaced transmitter pulses, are prevented by antijamming protection method implying application of electronic jammer (EJ) operating in complex with airborne radar (AR) within the same launcher aircraft. If no target found AR spatially radiates one pulse at frequency f1. After target is found and recognition AR passes to other frequency f2 and forms the second pulse of paired closely spaced pulses. Simultaneously EJ is activated and forms the first paired pulse at frequency f1. Pulse transmitting transponder of target self-protection having detected primarily received pulse radiates range deflecting jam at frequency f1, intended for malfunction (tracking loss) of first pulse source. As AR runs at frequency f2, and radiated pulse is not detected by target jammer, it carries useful information on target, and jam does not influence AR functioning.;EFFECT: higher noise immunity of airborne radar.;2 dwg
