The system consists of individual light fittings the angular positions of which can be adjusted automatically. One primary fitting (1) is fitted with a distance sensor (10). This fitting is adjusted by the surgeon to suit his operational requirements and the sensor provides position data to the control unit (9) which then generates control signals for the automatic adjustment of the position of the other lamp fittings (2,3,4)
