Apparatus and method for receiving of moving objects from different perspectives with smaller stereo base

The device has cameras (K1-K4) with lenses that are present in a same direction, where the cameras are arranged side by side in a row in a level. Another row of cameras are arranged in another level around a half-stereo-base. An object beam is divided at the levels with a mirror in such a manner that the cameras at the latter level receive an object partial image that is moved around the stereo-base relative to the cameras at the former level. The mirror is arranged in an angle bisector between the levels. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a moving object recording device.
