The method involves inserting a dialysis tube (4) into a non invasive pressure measurement device, and a separate measuring adapter into the tube. The tube is expanded by an asymmetric mechanical compensator (7), whose angular change strengthens by an optical laser-mirror system. The position of the laser with a single line charged couple device array is recorded and selected by a micro controller and converted into the corresponding pressure value. Creep behavior of the plastic tube is implemented as mechanical model in the micro controller. An independent claim is also included for a device for non invasive pressure measurement.
