The body has a roof frame profiles (16) of roof frame (18) running in the area outside the automobile in the vehicle longitudinal direction and longitudinal chassis beam (26) is arranged in an end area of the passenger car and extends in the vehicle direction. The roof frame profiles extend downwards up to the assigned longitudinal chassis beam and are supported by a supporting device (30) at corresponding chassis beam. The supporting device of the roof frame profiles are provided in the area of a rear end structure (10) of the body.
