The device includes a steel block (1) embedded into a magnetic coil, where the steel block is provided with a fastening unit for fastening a bench vise. A ring shaped groove (3) is milled in the steel block, where a coil shell comprises windings inserted into the groove. The groove is sealed outwards by a plastic capsule mass. A channel (4) is milled into the steel block, through which the electrical conductor for current supply runs to the coil.
