The robot joint comprises a retaining element (26,28,30), which has a deforming element (32). The deformation element enables release of the installation between the joint element (14) in case of overloading. The joint elements are connected to articulated arm (10,12), where the joint elements slide together for deviating the articulated arm. The retaining element is provided for holding the joint elements in the installation.
