The cover (2) has a symmetrical base surface, and handle strips (5) arranged at sides of the cover, where the cover is made of a flexible expandable material and is fastened at two sides of a compartment (1) to be covered. The cover is foldable along a diagonal bisecting the base surface. A joint permits folding that is formed by the flexible material of the cover, where a deflector (6) transverse to a folding line is attached to the cover. A holding unit (7) has a top edge that overlaps over the cover level upwards, when the cover is opened.
