The module has a rectifier for charging a capacitor (C1) that is connected to a discharge resistor (R1) in a parallel manner. A switch e.g. thyristor, is provided for switching a middle frequency alternating current. The capacitor is provided with a value between 0.1 milli Farad and 10 milli Farad, and the current is provided with a root mean square value of less than 200 ampere. The module is provided at an output of a power source, and for short circuit and/or isolating a distance section.
