The method involves arranging an audio, video and/or navigation data in a data structure. A portion of the audio-video and/or navigation data to be protected is modified in the data structure instruction with respect to an extension of physical and/or logical memory requirements. Another portion of audio, video and/or navigation data is copied and added as additional audio, video and/or navigation data. The added additional audio, video and/or navigation data are referenced physically and/or logically on a part of the data structure instruction. An independent claim is also included for a method for using the data carrier.
