The recycling of paint wastes in an anodic or cathodic dip coat device for coating workpiece of motor vehicle, comprises collecting paint wastes or a mixture of paint waste and deionized water obtained from the paint waste, mixing the paint wastes with an anodic or cathodic dip coat or a flow coat, powdering the wastes, adding additives to the wastes, blending the wastes with further paint, paint mixture and/or a pigment paste to modify the color of the coating and applying the collected paint wastes on the workpiece by an electrophoretic coating process or a flow-coating process. The recycling of paint wastes in an anodic or cathodic dip coat device for coating workpiece of motor vehicle, comprises collecting paint wastes or a mixture of paint waste and deionized water obtained from the paint waste, mixing the paint wastes with an anodic or cathodic dip coat or a flow coat, powdering the paint wastes, adding additives to the paint wastes, blending the paint wastes with further paint, paint mixture and/or a pigment paste to modify the color of the coating and applying the collected paint wastes on the workpiece by an electrophoretic coating process or a flow-coating process. The paint waste or a mixture of paint waste and deionized water as rinsing agent are directly used for coating without ultrafiltration, electro-coagulation, addition of substances that react with the paint wastes, modification of pH value and modification of the paint concentration. Flakes of a metallic coating are removed from the paint waste or the mixture of paint waste and rinsing agent before coating. The deionized water leads to the formation of the mixture of paint waste. The collected paint waste and deionized water have a solid substance concentration of 6 wt%. An independent claim is included for a procedure for the recovery of coating components in an anodic or cathodic dip coat device for workpiece of a motor vehicle.
