The joint has a flange (4) and an upsetting ridge (6') for fixing at the former construction unit (A), another upsetting ridge (12') and a shoulder (10) for fixing at the later construction unit (B). The joint has a spacer section (8) between the upsetting ridges, and is arranged between two sheet metal construction units at a certain distance to each other by a spacer rivet (2) in the form of a rivet shaft.
