The fitting has a measuring sensor (5) arranged in a dip tube (18) for detecting a process variable. An annular seal is provided between the measuring sensor and the dip tube for sealing an annular gap between the sensor and the dip tube. A rear sealing stop is positioned at the measuring sensor and is removable from the dip tube. The annular seal is loaded by the sealing stop in an installation position and sealed against the sensor and an inner wall of the dip tube.
