The rivet has a rivet bolt (1) provided with a conical area (1a), and a rivet case (2) provided with a conical section (2b) that is dimensioned geometrically smaller in relation to the conical area of the rivet bolt. The conical area and the conical section cooperate in an installed condition of the rivet such that the rivet case is enlarged and a form closure is produced with components which can be connected. The rivet case has longitudinal slots (2d) that are arranged distributedly within the conical section to a circumference.
