The guiding unit (1) has an inner pipe (2), and an outer pipe (3) that surrounds the inner pipe, where exhaust gas flows through the inner pipe. A gap filled with an isolating medium is arranged between the inner pipe and the outer pipe, where transmission of heat from the exhaust gas to the outer pipe over the inner pipe is reduced by the gap. The inner and outer pipes have respective reversibly deformable compensating units (10, 14) that compensate length variations of the inner and outer pipes and/or displacement between the inner and outer pipes.
