A combustion engine has a housing (8) with crank-shaft (5) and cavities preferably with circular cross-section forming sealed working-cavities with the head housing and the pendulum elements located in the cavities. Those elements carrying out the rotational movement are torsion-resistantly joined to the crank-shaft (5) so that with successive cycles of the combustion process in the working-cavities a pendulum-type movement of the crankshaft (5) and the elements torsion-resistantly fixed to it, takes place.
