The longitudinal water proof electrical sensor has a housing (1), a sensor element (6) and a cable (4) leading out from the housing. The electric conductor of the cable has massive, hollow- free cross section in the inner side of the housing. A conductor strip seals the massive cross section against the wire insulation (9a). A wire strip seals the wire insulation against the outer cover (4a) of the cable and against all other wires. An outer cover strip seals the outer cover against the housing. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a longitudinal-waterproof electrical sensor.
