Computerized method for converting portable documents format document into hyper text markup language document, involves extracting images, producing directory structure, and converting textual components

The method involves extracting the images contained in the portable documents format (PDF) document and the dimensions and positions of the images from the code of a PDF document. A directory structure is produced, where each extracted image is stored as PDF document. The textual components of the PDF document are converted into hyper text markup language (HTML) document and for each image in the PDF document a link to the file of the respective image is generated. The image is positioned at the same position and dimension in the HTML document like in the PDF document. An independent claim is also included for a computer program product which stores program code on a machine readable carrier when the program on a computer runs off.
