The technique is for the operation of a motor vehicle with an internal combustion motor (ICE), an exhaust gas turbocharger (EUATL) and an electric machine (EM) mechanically linked to the motor and a powered wheel (V). To achieve a required drive power (Pv) at the wheel, a mechanical power output (Pice1) at the motor gives a self-sufficient operation of the turbocharger where power (Pem-eluatl1) is taken from the electric machine while working as a generator.
