The two stages represent the exhaust-gas turbochargers (14,24), which are arranged laterally to the cylinder banks of the internal combustion engine (36). The exhaust-gas turbocharger has a compressor section and a turbine section. The turbine section of the turbocharger (24) is connected with an exhaust-gas collection line (38) by a connection line.
