In a marking-embossing mold insert with a hollow cylindrical base body (2) containing a concentric rotatable central body (1), each having a marked frontal surface facing the mold, the central body has a shaft (4), opposite the marking surface (11) and carrying a fixed drive element (5) engaging with another drive element (6) fixed on a drive shaft (10). The drive shaft and its drive element are integrated in the base body. The axis of the drive shaft crosses the axis (7) of the central body. Independent claims are included for: (1) a corresponding marking-embossing mold insert arrangement, in which at least two inserts as above are located in the mold and the individual inserts are connected via a common drive shaft (10) (or an actuator for the drive shaft); (2) a variant of the insert without the base body, in which the central body (1) (with a marking surface as above) is rotatably mounted in the mold and has a drive element (5) opposite the marking surface (11), engaging with another drive element (6) in the mold, with the axis (20) of the drive element crossing the axis (7) of the central body and the second drive element being coupled with a drive shaft (10) or its actuating element.
