Combustion engine controlling method, involves changing actuation of injector assigned to combustion chamber having exhaust gas temperature deviating by more than predetermined value to change amount of fuel injected
The method involves actuating injectors (3a-3f) in accordance with a requested fueling map. Exhaust gas temperature of each of a set of combustion chambers is monitored to determine an average exhaust gas temperature. Actuation of one of the injectors assigned to the chamber having the temperature deviating by more than a predetermined value i.e. predetermined percentage of the average exhaust gas temperature, from the average exhaust gas temperature is changed in order to change the amount of fuel injected, where the deviation lies between 10 to 30 degree centigrade. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a system for controlling a combustion engine including a set of combustion chambers (2) a combustion engine with a control unit to change quantity of fuel injected by an injector in response to a deviation of exhaust gas temperature from an associated combustion chamber by more than a predetermined value.
