The gear (1) has switchable rocker arms (2), and a cam (3) or a cam group provided on a cam shaft (4) for each rocker arm. A supporting element (5) is provided for each rocker arm, where the arm has outer and inner levers supported on a common axis and movable relative to each other. A system for a charge-cycle valve and a complementary surface are provided at a lower surface of the arm. The arm is supported on the element over the complementary surface. A lost-motion spring (15) with an impact surface (16) is supported at the cam shaft.
