The brush device has a metallic carrier (1), and retaining devices (2, 3), which are fastened at the carrier. The retaining devices have a carbon brush (4), and are completely surrounded by a plastic material upto a contact point (5). The retaining devices are surrounded by a heat conducting metallic clamp (6), which dissipates heat. The clamp is made of a metal e.g. aluminum, and is connected with the carrier. The retaining devices have a hot plate directly surrounding the carbon brush, where the retaining device (3) surrounds the hot plate that is made of a metal e.g. brass.
