The chipboard screw has a thread (5) e.g. plastofast thread, extending over a section (4b) of a screw shank (4). A turning-back lock is formed at the screw shank, where the turning-back lock exhibits a coating of an adhesion developing material, where the coating is applied over the thread section of the screw shank. The screw shank exhibits slots in a portion of the thread section between windings of the thread. The slots are formed over the entire length of the thread section. The screw shank has a thread-free section (4a) that is provided with a circular cross section.
