Designed as a spring steel sheet pretensioned against a selector shaft and fork (2-6) and locked with it, a locking element locks the selector shaft and fork in its neutral position. Each selector shaft and fork has a recess (10) extending crosswise (9), i.e. in flat struts forming the selector shaft and fork. Through-holes run crosswise and take the shape of oblong holes each extending in the longitudinal direction (7) of each selector shaft and fork.
