Repair process for blades of gas turbine compressor involves heat treatment using laser beam in locally limited region influenced by welding heat

The repair process is applied to blisk-produced blades (5) of a gas turbine power unit. The defective blade is cut off and a new added piece is welded onto the stump. A local heat treatment process is then applied. This is done using a laser beam in a locally limited region which is influenced by the heat used in welding the added part.
