The radiation detector (1) has multiple scintillators array (2) separated from each other by separating plates (7), forming scintillator array and a collimator lattice (3) arranged on the irradiation side. A lattice wall (4) of the collimator lattice contains radiation absorbing particles. The separating plates and the lattice walls comprise the same particle. The particle has a reflection coefficient within the range of the scintillator emission, which is greater than seventy percent. A matrix is formed from an epoxy resin, which is hardened by ultraviolet irradiation. An independent claim is also included for a method for the production of a radiation detector, which has a scintillator array multiple cells, collimator lattice.
