The tool has a machine-controlled driver for driving a working slider (5), which is movable in a working direction over inclined sliding surfaces. The slider is moved relative to a slider guide (6) in an original position during unloading of the driver by using a resetting appliance (7), where the slider is moved back by positive retrieving mechanisms (8, 8`) in a drive-controlled manner, when the resetting appliance is inefficient. A signal outputting device (9) detects inefficiency of the resetting appliance and generates an optical and/or acoustic and/or control signal.
